Release Notes 0.3.0

- The FoxNext Games Team

Several new arrivals are coming to Pandora this update: two Troops, two Commanders, new Challenges, new features, and more Troops and Commanders on the way. We’ve also made more balance changes to Troops and Commanders based on your play styles and feedback. As will be common this early in the initial launch, there are lots of changes.

What’s New Overview

  • Two new Troops: Banshee Flight and Missile Battery
    We’ll be sharing how to earn these Troops in-game and on our social channels, so stay tuned.
  • Two more Commanders: Tioang and Alihatar
    Explore decks with the new Warriors and Soldier for each faction that feature Banshee Flight and Missile Battery.
  • Coming Soon: More Troops and Commanders
    Both the Na’vi and RDA will be receiving a new Troop and two new Commanders later this update. You can get a sneak peek at them by viewing your locked Troop and Commander Cards.
  • Commander Rarity, Class, and Balance Updates
    Several Commanders have had their rarity changed to reflect their power. Warrior and Soldier Commanders have had their first talents align more with their sub-class (e.g. Defenders, Raiders, Stalkers, and Nemeses). One Commander from each faction had their Class changed to Warrior/Soldier to encourage more action.
  • New Challenges and Rewards
    New Challenge types have been added to keep you on your toes. Rewards were updated to existing Challenges which should make them feel more impactful.
  • New Player Experience Updates
    We aim to create an inviting and learnable game for all new players. Based on your feedback and how players have been progressing through the game, we’ve updated the starting experience to make it the best it can be for those joining the battle.
  • Sacred Site Visual Updates
    Some updates were made to help match the visuals of Sacred Sites to the epic experience.
  • Additional Alliance Features
    Improvements have been made to searching for and switching to new Alliances. You can now also search your own Alliance by categories to see top contributors.

Three fearsome Forest Banshees control the skies and terrorize the ground. With their quick attacks and fast speed, the Banshee Flight is a powerful force to call-in to defend your Commander’s towers. Once they tear through enemy forces, they create a serious counter-push threat for the enemy.

General Changes

New Challenges

  • New Challenges will be available for Alliance Donations.
  • More options for Challenges will be available, including: Upgrading Troops, PvP Against Navi/RDA, Crafting, using particular Commander types, Patrols, looting Wood Sprites or Credits, and using combinations of Troops.
  • There will also be some limited-time challenges with some epic rewards for those who are always keeping their eye on the battlefield.

Challenge Reward Updates

  • Rewards for challenges were adjusted recently to be more tailored to each challenge and feel more impactful as you progress through them.
  • As we’re in the early stages of the game, we plan to make more tweaks to rewards in between updates.

NEW New Player Experience

  • We aim to create an inviting and learnable game for all new players, and this update focuses on that goal. The early game experience is smoother, as new players will encounter existing game elements at a more appropriate speed.
  • Updates include…
  • Permanent Command Slots unlock at earlier Village Hall/Command Center levels. This should allow players more freedom to participate in combat, harvests, and Rallies.
  • New and improved quests and challenges.
  • Several buildings are unlocked at a different Village Hall/Command Center level.
  • New players enter Alliances at Village Hall/Command Center level 5.
  • Daily Objectives adjusted for a more polished experience.

Searching the World Map

  • Searching the world for harvest rallies, Outposts, and player battles from “Go” and “Find” buttons yield better results.

Sacred Site Visual Enhancements

  • New models and animations added to Sacred Sites.

Alliance Joining and Recruitment Updates

  • Switching from one Alliance to another should be a much smoother experience.
  • You can now search for another active Alliance in the new General Tab under Search Alliances or in your Alliance Profile.
  • To apply to another Alliance, just click Switch or Request. If you get an invite from another Alliance, all you have to do is click Join.
  • You can view Alliance invites in your General Tab under Pending Invites.
  • You can now search Alliances in your Faction without leaving your own current Alliance.
  • When searching for new Alliance activity levels are now better surfaced.

Alliance Member List Improvements

  • You can now sort your Alliance members by several categories (e.g. Alliance Donations, Challenge Contributions, and Outpost Rallies Completed). This will help you create your own internal leaderboards.

Balance changes Impacting Prosperity/Market Value

  • Due to the Commander changes this update, you will notice that your Prosperity/Market Value has changed as well to reflect them.

  • To accommodate the large changes to Commanders, we will be sending players compensation packages. Keep an eye on your inbox.
  • Several Commanders had their rarity levels changed to better reflect their power levels.
  • Neytiri & Reza have changed Classes to Warrior and Soldier respectively.
  • We want more competition within the Warrior/Soldier archetype to encourage more varied combat experiences and strategies. While we will continue to add more commanders, we wanted to address this more immediately by moving some into combat roles.
  • There were several talent updates. We spread the investment required across additional levels, making it easier to manage powering up multiple commanders rather than over-commit to one. More defined Commander paths will make them easier to manage for you, while helping us more readily balance them.
  • Talents now have 20 levels (up from 10)
  • Warrior’s and Soldier’s first talents have been replaced by a talent that represents their sub-class. These talent bonuses are consistent across all Commanders that share it.
  • Defenders gain boosts to Wall Towers and All Troops when defending Player bases.
  • Raiders gain boosts to All Troops and Loot Skill when attacking player bases.
  • Stalkers gain boosts to All Troops and Loot Skill when attacking resource sites.
  • RDA/Na’vi Nemeses gain boosts to All Troops versus the opposing faction.
  • Warrior’s and Soldier’s first talent also includes a boost to All Towers, with an additional bonus granted to Wall Towers. This is applied to all combat.

  • Fixed some fair battles being flagged as trivial.
  • In-game notification that a battle started now correctly appears while in the Commanders Menu.
  • Member list displays properly when viewing another alliance.
  • Trivial combat warnings now working properly.
  • Fixed some causes of Sacred Site battles crashes.
  • Troop stats are now visually represented when upgrading.
  • Corrected issues loading the game on some Android devices.
